Kineettisen taiteen talon ensinäyttelyssä luonnonvoimat ja nykytaide yhdistyivät liikkeeseen perustuvan taiteen galleriaksi.
Gallerian ensinäyttelyn taiteilijat olivat Kati Hyyppä, Jari Johannes, Antti Immonen, Mimosa Pale, Walerija Peter ja Tuomo Vuoteenoma, joista jälkimmäinen toimii myös talon taiteellisena johtajana. Näyttelyn uumenissa ja Kitan puutahassa oli koettavana kineettisiä veistoksia, installaatioita, grafiikkaa, ääni- ja valotaidetta sekä performansseja.
KITAN avajaisissa esiintyivät Janne Kalewi Uusiniemi Vaeltavat Kuhilaat-performanssi. Myös vanha korsusauna lämmitettiin.
The House of Kinetic Arts features contemporary art that combines the forces of nature in a fascinating way and is based on movement in one way or another.
The artists in the gallery’s first exhibition are Kati Hyyppä, Jari Johannes, Antti Immonen, Mimosa Pale, Walerija Peter and Tuomo Vuoteenoma, the latter of whom also serves as the house’s artistic director. The exhibition features kinetic sculptures, installations, graphics, sound and light art and performances.
During the opening ceremony, the KITA there was Vaeltavat Kuhilaat performance, an old earth sauna renovated and in operation, and sculpture installations.
